“I’m an only child that hates stinky cheese and pop country music.”
Jed grew up in Houston, moved to Fort Worth for college and lived there for 10 years total with a brief stint on the coast as a fishing guide.
ALBUM SIDE ONE
In college, he started an alt country and indie rock artist management company that grew into a label over time. Then he moved to Kerrville to work for another Texas based label before coming to Austin to be closer to the woman that would become his wife, Hannah. He and Hannah have two little boys and an Aussiedoodle named Emmylou.
ALBUM SIDE TWO
When he left the music industry and started designing custom kitchens, he found himself thinking he’d rather help people buy the right home as opposed to just fixing up the wrong one. Helping people “make do” was not as appealing as helping them make a home.
RENAISSANCE MAN
“I love fly fishing and playing golf, as well as cooking / grilling and drinking wine and bourbon (not together or at least not mixed together).” At least a few members of the grassroots team have experienced Jed’s cooking and it is truly next level. And that’s not just the bourbon speaking.
When it comes to sports, he loves the Houston Astros and Houston Rockets and occasionally falls prey to the Houston Texans’ allure. His favorite pastime is being a dad.
TITLE TRACK
Jed finds himself listening to indie rock / folk and alt country most of the time. “To be honest it’s probably Guided By Voices or Magnolia Electric Co.. Wait Wait, Don’t Tell Me every saturday morning.”
